Imagine a party at a high tech driving range, that’s the best way to describe the TOPGOLF game concept… We tried it out while in Miami.

From luxury simulator experiences and golf ball tracing tech to video games and original content series— it’s pretty entertaining!

At the time of writing, there are more than a dozen TOPGOLF venues in the US, but only 2 are in California, in San Jose and Sacramento. There are talks to open a center in El Segundo, but it seems like there are still negotiation points on the table.

It’s advisable to book a bay, but first, you need to register to become a member.

The pricing varies according to the venue, the number of people in your party, and the booking time. Typically the game play ranges from $25, $35 to $45 an hour, the earlier the cheaper.

There are many electronic games available for all levels, from Rookie to Advanced. Here are a few examples:

VIRTUAL COURSES

Experience some of the most iconic golf courses in the world including Pebble Beach, St. Andrews, Spanish Bay and Spyglass Hill right from your Topgolf bay utilizing our Toptracer technology. Play 9, a full 18 or just select the holes you want to play. There is also the ability to set handicaps to help level the playing field.*

TOP SCRAMBLE

Beginner, and experienced golfers compete mano-a-mano on a level playing field. Players are split into teams, and the best score on each ball is used as the score for the team.

QUICK 9 FOR EXPERTS

In this speedy game of accuracy and fun, you’ll get three shots each at the Brown, Blue and White targets. The closer to the center of each target, the more points you’ll earn. Your last shot at each target will earn double points!

There’s a choice of clubs to select from.

Each golf ball has a sophisticated tracing system, so each player’s score can be captured on the video screen.

Each bay has a comfy seating area, like in a modern bowling alley where you can order food and drinks

There are many fun snacks on the menu – So you can spend hours there partying while playing!

Most of the menu items are around $10-15.

We order a few appetizers and drinks.

Most TOPGOLF venues open from 10 am to 11 pm…

It’s quite a fun experience but on the pricey side unless there’s a special promotion. But then Golf is an expensive sport.

Due to Covid-19, TOPGOLF has implemented safety measures including face covering and social distancing.

It definitely adds entertainment value, and anybody can join regardless of skills level. There are also games / classes for children.
