FOOD TOUR – Rio de Janeiro

Food Tours Anyone? 16

Why book a Rio Food Tour? I love to travel and am a foodie… so naturally I go the Food Tour route wherever and whenever I can!  It’s a great way to discover a city’s culture through its food, to meet and talk to locals especially if I’m traveling solo. I have done food tours by myself, with a travel companion as well as with a group of relatives or friends. The food tours were all super fun and informative, and my tummy was very happy at the end!

RIO DE JANEIRO / BRAZIL

It was my first time in Brazil but my significant other GJ has been there many times before. We decided to book the Rio Food Tour from Viator to discover where the locals eat. Viator also offers a Rio street food tour with market visit as well as an Afternoon Tea at Colombo, Forte de Copacabana.

Food is linked to history and culture, that’s how we’d like to discover Rio… We meet our guide near our first stop, the Amarelinho da Cinelandia Cafe and can’t wait to learn about the local life through this food journey…

The filling is shrimp for one of the pastries, and Cheese for the other. Both flaky and tasty

Next stop is a fresh fruit juice cafe where we have a refreshing Acai drink, which is a must-have while in Brazil!

From the rooftop at Parque Das Ruinas, we enjoy Caipirinha, the Brazilian national cocktail made with lime juice and Caraca.
