Glamping is a wonderful experience to reconnect with nature but in comfort. However this is not the usual glamping… Our tent is set in a remote area of a golf course in Palm Desert.
We have booked this unique experience through Luxury Travel Diary, which sometimes offer real cool packages. The organizer meets us in the parking lot of the luxury golf resort and gets us a golf cart. We drive through the winding cart path, traversing expansive fairways and smooth greens, against a backdrop of majestic mountains.
Hidden behind rustling trees, by a murmurous stream in the far end of the golf course, is our tent.
The natural canvas of the tent blends so well with the environment. Inside, it’s really cozy, the bed is inviting with fluffy pillows and a warm blanket. The open air bathroom is at the back, basic but modern and clean.
We are well prepared and have brought a cooler with drinks and wine, as well as steaks and side dishes for BBQ.
Guido grills away while I relax with some wine.
We are all by ourselves, surrounded by breathtaking landscape.
After dinner, we go for a stroll, admiring the environment and feeling blessed.
The tent is lit with solar power. There’s sufficient lighting for us to play cards while enjoying more wine.
The evening is so serene and the air is cool and crisp.
We feel so relaxed and completely off the grid.
We wake up to a gorgeous and bright morning.

More exploration of the area…
We have our morning tee time and enjoy a nice round of golf.
We just love it here!
In the afternoon, I do more nature walk.
Rest and relaxation in the evening…
The scenery is so stunning
This must be one of the most beautiful golf courses in California…
Guido prepares our dinner, ribs and salad on the menu…
As we are about to have dinner, a few golfers stop by. This is the first time that they have seen, from afar, a tent on a golf course and are curious… They ask to have a glimpse of the interior.
After dinner, there’s still enough light to practice some golf.
It’s an awesome experience to just step out of your tent and hit some balls!
Another peaceful and serene evening in almost paradise.
Have you tried glamping? or do you prefer to rough it out?
I have done camping in Europe and USA and have enjoyed it a lot, but once in a while, it’s such a treat to go the glam way…
With the hustle bustle of daily life, it’s a welcome blessing to be off the grid and enjoy nature. We are so grateful to have this opportunity to relax and slow down, and recharge our batteries.
