Every year my colleagues and I attend the World Tax Free exhibition in Cannes, and after a week filled with presentations, business meetings, cocktail receptions and dinners, we are just keen to fly home…
However, this time, after all the hard work and stress from the exhibition in Cannes, I feel like relaxing with a fun activity and invite my colleague and buddy Ros to join me on a Food & Wine Tour of Nice, which is 30 minutes ride away from Cannes.
Food & Wine Walking Tour
After some research, I book the top rated Nice Food & Wine tour operated by Nadia.
Also check out the fun Nice excursions and sightseeing tours offered by Viator here.

Alziari: Olive Specialty Store
The fun walking tour starts with a stop at Nicolas Alziari store, specialized in all things Olive…
I have never seen such a large array of olives in all shapes and forms, pitted and whole olives, tapenade, olive oil, soaps and cosmetics, kitchen utensils made from olive tree, anything you could imagine…
La Petite Maison
No Nice Food Tour would be complete without a stop at La Petite Maison, which is arguably the best dining spot in Nice. It’s also the place to go for celebrity sightings… It’s known to serve spectacular food with an amazing ambiance. Today, we have a sampling of their famous lemon meringue pie made with fresh ingredients such as locally grown lemons. It tastes like a morsel of sunshine!
Patisserie Henri Auer
The oldest bakery in Nice is Patisserie Henri Auer, established since 1820, and managed by generation after generation of the Auer family.

Bakeries by the Farmers Market offer a tempting selection of pastries…
Wine Tasting
Next stop is a huge wine shop selling rare vintage down to wine by the glass.
You can almost savor the Côte d’Azure atmosphere as you sip Côtes de Provence wines in the tradition of the artists and intellectuals who have been drawn to this beautiful place for centuries. While wine tasting and nibbling on cheeses and cold cuts, we learn interesting facts about French wines.
It’s a fun and convivial atmosphere to do wine tasting in the old town, while chatting and people watching…
Shop Splash Wines’ Curated Cases with selections starting at $105
