This is the only golf course on Phu Quoc Island. That’s why we decided to stay at the Vinpearl Golf Resort: Read my Vinpearl Resort blog.
Designed by IMG Worldwide with 18 holes set in rolling fairways that undulate through the wild woodland on the North of Phu Quoc island, this championship golf course is very well maintained with gorgeous scenery.
The Vinpearl runs different promotions throughout the year, so make sure to check before you book. There is a special rate for hotel guests, and a discount for ladies players once a week. Still, the green fees are quite high compared to other courses in S.E. Asia: around $120 per player including a shared cart. The caddies are experienced and very helpful, they deserve great tips as they are only allowed to go out for one round per day during that period.
This Phu Quoc golf course is suitable for all levels of golfers, with a few intriguing obstacles to challenge low handicappers.
The vista of the tropical forest against the panoramic backdrop of the East Sea is beautiful.
Along the way, we meet with wild life. These monkeys are not at all intimidated by humans, they are probably used to the golfers intruding on their territory.
After golf, there’s a nice seating area to get some refreshments. We find this course very beautiful but not outstanding in terms of layout and facilities. Still, we have enjoyed the golf outing and scenery.
